Based in the heart of London, the financial services group Rabobank initially came to Systopia in 2016. Housing a staff restaurant with 4 tills points catering for over a thousand staff daily on site and featuring 7 vending machines, they needed a solution to replace and reinvigorate their ageing Girovend system.

Systopia were able to integrate with the existing Mifare access control cards that Rabobank staff used every day to enter the building. This meant that there wasn’t the hassle of a secondary, separate card which often proves inconvenient and can be easily forgotten. Instead, staff continued with their single-card solution for access control and payment within the environment, with no mass recall or disruption to service.

Rabobank opted to give their staff plenty of flexibility when it came to managing their accounts, with the Good2Go Online Desktop and Systopia’s Mobile App. This flexibility means that staff always have a quick way to access their account, no matter where they are or what they are doing, crucial in ensuring high uptake.

Systopia’s experienced Projects team managed a smooth transition from the old Girovend system to our new, revitalised solution. Staff data and balances were transferred seamlessly which allowed service to remain constant and staff were fully informed on the switch with an internal communications campaign.

Whether catered or self-operated, the quality of food offered and the attractiveness of the dining areas are central to a heavily-utilised dining program. But even the finest foods and most restaurants will fail to capture the majority of employees if the pre-dining experience is flawed.  Long queues in the restaurant often result in frustrated customers and decreased participation. That’s why moving to cashless is key to providing that smooth and speedy transaction at the till.
